Vehicle Description 1961 MERTOPOLITAN 1500 SERIES CONVERTIBLE T-1354 This 1961 Metropolitan 1500 Series convertible, is an excellent example of this now 62 year old classic.
Originally manufactured by the Austin Motor Company in Great Britain, and sold in the United States under the Rambler dealers marquee , the 1961 is the last year of manufacture of these cars.
Original and desirable rare options included are the in-dash AM radio and the continental spare tire located at the rear.
The exterior glistens in the original color combination of red upper and white lower, separated with a bright chrome trim strip.
The front and rear bumpers, grill, fender mounted mirrors as all other trims and emblems are bright and in good condition.
The rear continental spare tire and convertible top boot are covered in complimenting red vinyl.
The convertible top is in white.
The interior is original design and function.
The combination speedometer, odometer, and fuel indicator center over the steering column, with all other knobs and switches within easy reach.
